It’s now 18 months since I first reported the issue of LinkedIn’s lax security on Company Profiles and the fact that our company’s profile had attracted spam entries:
Finally, now, I can say that our company profile on LinkedIn has been cleaned up, thanks to the wonderful Hideki at LinkedIn customer support. Finally we found someone who didn’t display the arrogant and dismissive attitude we encountered in our earlier attempts to clarify this issue with LinkedIn and have, at least in a manner, resolved the issue.
The solution: LinkedIn deleted the company profile and recreated it. As a result, we lost all our followers (so please follow Innovabiz on LinkedIn again – but ONLY if you are a real person!). I’m not sure that they have fixed the problem and lax security around company profiles on LinkedIn, though!
I just completed an online customer survey for this – will be interesting to see if there is some follow up!
