Internet of Things is connecting People

The Internet of Things is connecting people, not just machines!  Traditional Human Resources methods are strained because of the fast-paced technology involving the Internet of Things (IoT) and other advancements.  Yes, a company can excel in today’s world if their employees are adaptable to the current trends.  However, careful considerations must be extended to the customers and partners of the business because no matter how updated your company is with technology, it’s the market that dictates the demands for certain products and services.  Read the views of Oracle’s President in this article:

The Internet of Things Is Really the Internet of People

As I speak with CEOs around the world, our conversations invariably come down to this central question: Can we change our corporate cultures and the ways we train and reward our people as rapidly as new technology is changing the work we do, the products we make and how we engage with customers?

It’s interesting to think that with IoT, things can communicate with each other to develop a superior product or services at sustainable cost – but prior to that, the workforce of an organisation must learn to understand how this smart system works and create innovations based on it for business advancement. The ability to engage the target market and existing customers to the evolving process by empowering employees is equally essential with the technological progress – because after all, technology is here to enhance the people’s lifestyle and not the other way around!
